A downloadable game for Windows

Copper Carp is the codename for a prototype game that revolves around sending ships to distant planets and asteroids to complete tasks and retrieve resources. These resources are used for unlocking new content. Lunar Pearls are the currency used to buy and sell ships as well as unlock new ship hangars.

The game is largely "set and forget" with missions elapsing in real time, even when offline. You are always making progress.

---

This prototype was made in less than two weeks as an effort to learn a new workflow. In the process I learned a lot. The game is not balanced at all and I don't care. There isn't even any content. I just made one mission that loops endlessly and only enough loot drops to fill that one mission.

The purpose was not to make a fun game, it was to learn. Only posting here so I don't feel like the time was wasted. Thank you for looking.

It's a fun little game with potential.

I found an odd bug and I think it works like this (though it only occurred after level 19). After selecting an expedition the ship selection screen opens up. If this menu is open while another expedition ends, then the tick to select a ship doesn't work. I must wait until all my ships have returned to base before being able to send out a new expedition.

But with everything you've included in the game so far bought, there's no reason to keep playing.

I'd probably play it if it were a full game, but unless there were some automation included at some point, my wrist would die.

Wow thank you for the in depth thoughts on such a small thing. I really appreciate that you gave it that much of your time!

That bug was the death of me while developing. ðŸ’¢ðŸ’¢ðŸ’¢ I fixed most of the instances of it but apparently not all! So annoying lol.

There would HAVE to be automation if I expanded this idea. Absolutely way too much tapping already.

Thank you again for your time!
